When in Chicago, there are a lot of tourist spots that are well worth the visit. With your loved one or with your family, There are so many attractions that you will learn to love, if you haven’t been there yet. I have listed some of them which I would love for you to visit. Come and explore the grandeur of Chicago, the windy city!

Chicago Tourist Attractions1. Navy Pier-The Navy pier has a very rich history. It was originally designed as a shipping are and entertainment center. it was also used as a Navy training center. Now, It is mainly an attraction site for tourists and locals. Some of the attractions include: Ferris wheel which is 45m high, Musical Carousel, Shakespeare theater, Children’s Museum, Smith Museum and a miniature a Miniature Golf Course. It is a complete family package of fun and surprises that will definitely be a memorable experience for you and your loved ones.

2. Chicago Art Galleries- There are a number of art galleries that you can visit and purchase artwork for those who want to collect beautiful art. I strongly suggest that we support these artists because there is a financial struggle for this industry. Let us keep the art alive! 3. Chicago Museums- In preserving and supporting our culture, it is best to visit Chicago’s museums. You can chose your wild, or better yet, visit them all! You will not only be entertained, you will definitely learn a lot from museums. Some of the finest are: Museum of Science and Industry, Adler Planetarium, Art Institute of Chicago and Field Museum. Rich in the displays and exhibits of cultural heritage, you will learn a lot about Chicago and the world!

4. Chicago Beaches- Want to soak up in the sun? There are beaches that will definitely excite you! Try visiting one of our beaches and enjoy the ambiance of the sand, sun and beach. Here are top beaches tourists always visit: Oak Street Beach, North Avenue Beach, Fullerton Beach, Ohio Street Beach and Montrose Beach.

5. Soldier Field- your visit will not be complete if you won’t visit Soldier Field. It is the home of the Chicago Bears of the National Football League. It seats 61,500 people. It is also a place for concerts and soccer matches. If you are a sports fanatic or not, you are sure to visit Soldier Field when in Chicago.

Chicago Museums

If you are from Chicago or if you live nearby , It is best that you visit the museums that Chicago offers. Your visit or stay here will not be complete without touring them. I have suggested top 5 picks which I personally really like and plan to re-visit anytime.

1. Shed Auditorium- It is located at South Lake Shore Drive. It is best to visit in April or May because it will not be too crowded or busy.The attractions here are endless: Oceanarium, Waters of the World, Exhibits of Wildlife Reef and Amazon River and Polar Play Zone.This is the best for kids because the Shed’s Aquatic Show is amazing! Shed Auditorium is an advocate for the wildlife.

2. Museum of Contemporary Art- If you are an art fanatic or just love the arts, visit this Museum. It does not only display art exhibits by Chicago artists but it generally depicts the Cultural Art of Chicago. It is located at East Chicago Avenue. Watch out for their regular performances onstage the MCA Stage! The melting pot of different exceptional performing artists that will surely entertain you and your family.

There is also a school for aspiring artists. You can send your children for quality education and training for the arts.Located at South Michigan Avenue,there is no doubt in my mind that I would go back to this place. It’s great!

4. Museum of Science and Industry- Located at Lake Shore Drive, This is a magnificent showcase of Science and Technology in one huge place! It features colorful and real life exhibits of different scientific breakthroughs such as the Coal Mine Exhibit and the World War II Submarine. Kids and adults alike would not dare miss this adventure. It is interactive and fun!

5. Adler Planetarium- This planetarium has 2 life size star gazing theaters where you can actually feel that you are in the middle of the galaxy! They have the Deep Space Adventure and of course the Interactive shows for you and your loved ones. For astronomy fanatics, this is as real as it gets. You can also learn a lot from their theaters. Information that can come only from experiencing the universe first hand!

Just be sure to ask for a schedule in advance, to be sure that you will steer clear from peak seasons and inform the museum that you will be coming especially if you’ll come as a group. United Center- Home of the Chicago bulls, this center is again, one of Chicago’s prides. It is the largest arena in the United States. there are hundreds of events in this historical center showcasing different sports events and entertainment at its finest. The best artists in the world have already performed in this center.

US Cellular Field- This is the home of the Chicago White Sox. This is one of the first loves of the residents of Chicago. Fans cheer their favorite team as they flock to the US Cellular Field, never missing any of the games!

Museums and Parks- When in downtown chicago, never miss the opportunity to have a bike ride or walk around the famous parks such as the Millenium Park and Grant Park. You can also opt to ride a speedboat or a yacht with your family and friends around the city and take a quick tour of Chicago.
